Raja is 29 years of age and he started playing traditional Iranian Music on the violin at 10 years of age. His teachers were elders Asadallah Malek and Parviz Yahaghi. He then went on to study Classical Music under the Christian Teacher Roben Tahmasians. He was then accepted into the Symphony Orchestra of Tehran. He has also played viola and kamanche for many Iranian Film Scores and for Iranian Singers.

Raja also played on film scores 'mim mesle madar' starring golshfiteh farahani and on a TV Serial 'Destiny'. He has played in concerts in India, United Arab Emirates, Russia, Grenada and Cuba.
